TOOL at the Nokia Theatre
Saw TOOL at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. on Sunday night. ABSOLUTLY incredible, the best concert I have ever been to. The sound in that place in amazing, you could hear every thing clearly. The visuals and lightings were perfect. And the band was on another level. Danny was a beast on the drums. Adam and Justin where on Fire and Maynard sounded really good.
They opened with Third Eye and had the Timothy Leary speech start it off. Jambi, Stinkfist and Vicarious followed. Next was a great performance of Right in Two. Flood was great, Schism was really good. Forty-Six and Two was amazing, as was Lateralus, which featured a drum off between Danny and Rajas drummer Gino. They closed with Aenima, which is always amazing especially in Los Angeles.
I wasn’t overly impressed with Rajas, the opening band. I was disappointed, Dalek opened for them on Monday night and I really wanted to see them but wasn’t able to make that show.
It was an incredible show, they once again proved themselves to be the greatest band in the world right now. There are some great bands out there, with some great musicians, but none can match the passion, creativity and musicianship that TOOL have.
