Humo del Cairo – Humo del Cairo
I have no clue what they’re saying but I do know that these guy rock! Good stoner rcok from Argentina, they sound similar to Ancestors at times, kinda like Shrinebuilder at other times, but mostly it’s Kyuss. While this is a great record, it’s actually a bit difficult to review.
I will say that the album really flows pretty well, this is evident on the transition from “Fuego de San Antonio” into the acoustic “Errantes” which flows into closer “Cauce”. “Fuego de San Antonio” is a jarring bluesy jam with a seventies vibe. “Erantes” stands out because of its acoustic guitar works, strings, harmonica and the soulful vocals. “Cauce” is a psychedelic beast that closes the album nicely, except for the 22 minute of silence that’s follows before a short hidden track
They don’t really bring anything new to the table, but they simply play the hell out of what has been done before. If you like to light a fatty up and chill to some fuzzy psych/stoner music, this is probably the record for you.
