#8 Horseback – The Invisible Mountain

Similar to Ichabod, this album really came out of no where. With its repetitive rhythms, this is atmospheric metal at its best.  The songs are long, sprawling groovy jams.  While not exactly like Black Math or Ancestors, Horseback are very much in that same vein of atmospheric, post hardcore metal.  The music falls into a heavy, hypnotic groove, with a strong emotional context with a repetitive tribal vibe to it that pulls the listener into a hypnotic trance.
